How did you spray paint the Blue sheep like that? Can you send me the tutorial!

Anyway. I like this photo.. We use to raise these suckers back home.
But from an artistry perspective. I think there are hints of blue in black shadows. I havnt quiet understood that yet.. Im debating if there are or not. Seems like there are. Or maybe i stair at the sun to much sometimes and it hurst the optics and my colour is all funny. Who Knows.

10/10
(p.s) i dont know why im talking so much. YEEh. (p.s) no not drunk....

Herr Westphal... :p
I don't care if you make a moccery of my monitor. It has still worked for most times...

This one I don't get.

The composition and technique is not to your normal standard.
Where is the composition by the way (surely it is not having anything to do with my monitor)... :o

Bright, dark, central, crowded... sorry! :)

Well, I disagree. This has a MUCH better composition (and is a much better photo) than the last 2 you submitted. I like the exposure as well. Wish there was a bit more space to the top and/or right though.

The lighting here is awfully harsh for a white subject and some over-exposure is evident. The positioning of the other sheep doesn't help the composition.

Is the sheep actually eating the barguire?! Strange taste ;)

Checking this again from another monitor and the overexposure is not as bad here... But the left background sheep is definitely blue...

The blue season has arrived? :p

I have to agree with MsM and Patrick, the back sheep is blue!!! And I don't belive in punk sheeps, at least not yet! It is overexposed, and the composition has some issues. The ground grass blends with the front legs of the sheep...
Sorry, just not working for me... But I'm in a very critique state of mind!!

Thanks, purplerose, MsMichelleLynn, Ironwolf, moserArtist and Vasco for your comments.
.... At least an interesting discussion. :)

@ moserArtist: Patrick, I really did not wanted to offend you. I was only picking up your comment from previous post. Kind of my humour. :)
REALLY REALLY appreciate any single feedback of you.

@ purplerose: Same to you Jerrica, REALLY REALLY like your different points
of view.
Course, appreciate all others comments, too.

The blue lamb is not a punksheep , I did not spray it nor it is done by photomanipulation.
I guess it is bouncing light coming from the left, evolved from a building which was also casting that shadow, seen in the image.

Composition...... I am not a very relegious person, but to me the image has something.... spiritual. And it is a bit about moral. Mum says.... do not do this, do not do that.....kids always try to extravagate the borders, though the other side of the border might look dangerous.
I think the interesting area is indeed the lamb, mums head/eye and the fence with its sharp looking wires.
..... It is anyway quite hard to compose 3 sheeps.
Thanks for that discussion. It is good, when an image generates that and makes me feel almost better like only reading... Great shot, nice capture and so on.

Chalk it up to my usual differing tastes in photography if necessary, but I found this quite striking at first view (I still do, for the record ;)). I think it has a rather painterly sensibility, with dramatic contrasts evoking the chiaroscuro of Baroque painters like Caravaggio and an appealing use of overlapping islands of color and value, where form is partially reduced to shape. Texture is presented without showing us every hair of the foremost lamb, yet he/she stands out as the focus, being an almost-white, almost-flat image.
To cut my rambling short, my point is that I really enjoy this piece. (thumbup)

I am okay with the composition. It would be better without the folk at the back. The light is very harsh though, and the level of over-exposure is high. I would have taken this shot with a serious negative exposure bias. This would get the lamb exposed correctly, and possibly get that blue sheep totally unnoticeable.
