Wishful thinking here... picture a woman at the top of the stairs looking up, dressed in red.

I would like to suggest a slightly more inclusive thumbnail, perhaps with a portion of the red lion showing. The one you have doesn't communicate enough.

Good composition and colors. A bit overexposed on the white doors but only a minor point.

As an aerospace engineer I am inclined to loving this image! I think if the crop were made such that the doorway was more in a rule of thirds position, and cut some of the sky out (not much though, so as to preserve the message implied). Did they have an airshow too? Gotta love em!

I am very happy about the mostly positive feedback about the composition. Kind of my first concern about this one.

@ killadore and Penraeth: It is really true that a figure is missing, woman in red would have been the shot of the year , ...figure would have gone downstairs since this was the exit of that plane.

@ Roadrunner and ThruMyEyez: I am not really sure, if this, what you are talking about is overexposed..... Yeah ... a little. But these guys from military are always painting everything very well, especially when it is white paint.

@ RvascoF: ..... Some very interesting toys, I think your are right in terms of the stairs, but deeper the mess started..... no way to fix it.

@ danheacock: , ... I loved it.
