Description

Hi, I think the most shiny and powerful looking propeller I have seen on the airshow.

It belongs to a WACO YKS 6. This multi role airplane was developed and produced around the 30ies and was very well known for its reliability.
65 of them have been delivered and were even used as coast patrol airplanes by the United States.
This one used to be an flying ambulance in Alaska and was equipped with "buoyancy chambers" (leo.org) until 1969.

Thanks for looking at.
Stefan

Are you a pilot? How do you get to hang around these things? :)
I like both the 'before' and 'after' of taking this shot. Great work.

yep, desaturation works really well here, i love how the orange areas came out. think the background is a little bit busy, but hey, i wasn't there and can't really tell if it was even possible to get a cleaner angle :p
so good work!
and Merry Christmas to you too

Thanks a lot kittyKat and killadore...Merry christmas to you
Thanks a lot, to you guys, for your very nice feedbacks :)

@ Roadrunner. As a child,. I always wanted to become a pilot. Because of some reason it wasn´t possible. Now, I´m still interested in airplanes, thersfore i´m taking pictures of them.
@ killadore.... especially in this one, I like, what is going on in the bg. But you are right.... very hard to get rid off, of all disturbing things.

Wow you've made a great photo out of this one!! I guess if you dind't use saturation, the compo wasn't this good (right hand wing falls off, etc) But now it's simple great!
